“Beskyd, Beskyd, who is walking along you, a dark-eyed shepherd?.”. These are lyrics of one folk-song. Nowadays there are not many shepherds in Beskydy but golfers can enjoy this course as much as they want. Which one of us would have suspected at the age of teenagers that we would remember this folk-song when walking from hole to hole near these mountains? There are beautiful hills and it was not easy for shepherds when they were climbing down these slopes. It is not easy even for present golfers. Both eighteens measure over six kilometres from yellows and you sometimes feel as a hiker.
But, when the creation of the golf course started in this locality, many people were curious about the result. Nowadays there is no choice but to envy because it is an area of dreams in the Czech Republic.
The Old Course with a seal of foreign ideas is spread over the country in three branches. The most holes are in the centre near the buildings. At the beginning there is a long hole with par 4, two gentle doglegs, probably because the golfers should realise what they can expect on next holes. As soon as you get to green every golfer should stop for a while and look around. It is worth seeing it.
The golf course is provided with a training meadow with outdoor tees and training greens. The whole area, which provides not only golf pleasures but also other options how to spend leisure time, is equipped with a comfortable hotel.
The course is used by The Prosper Čeladná GC.
