Golf course Nová Amerika – Woodland course

The place where the resort is situated now has a long history. Its name has been America ever since but due to some family reasons of the first owner the name has been changed to “New America”. Then horses were bred there and in 1993 the current owners bought this estate. They have built a unique outpost at their expenses and efforts where, besides others, mainly golf has been successful since 2002. Three years later an academy with eighteen holes was opened. There is also, besides others, a hotel and a restaurant.

Woodland is a forest park course where particular holes are situated among high trees. Four tees are a necessity again, so international competitions can take place here. This applies also to other two nine-hole circuits.

Due its total length it is the largest one of the New America courses, for men it is a trip for 3,245 metres, women must play 2,917 metres in total. The longest hole is Nr. 7 which is 540 metres long from yellow blocks and 506 metres from red blocks. Just an example ? the length from the master tee is 638 metres. Of course, it is par 5. The course is divided into two halves by a water hazard which is connected below the resort centre from three streams. Nevertheless, they affect play only on holes Nr. 1 and 2 which are crossed by two of them. And also on hole Nr. 3 where green is situated behind the water hazard. This part also requires a certain strategy and knowledge of the course.

Nevertheless, in New America you can play eighteen holes in different halves of the course. This course is used by the New America CC members.
