This contradiction includes the basic idea of this course. There are two greens for each of the nine teeing grounds. It is unusual but many courses were created in this way in the past and nowadays you can also find these courses. Anyway, it is a good idea. The course itself has a beautiful scene of full-grown vegetation in its eastern part as well as a unique view of ancient platforms for racing fans and you can watch all events in the course from them.
The course was opened in May 2005 and this medium-long golf course (4,932 / 4,205 metres, par 68) has been offering an opportunity for playing good golf since. Although there are nine holes, you never play the same distance. The shortest hole is Nr. 1 which is 117, or more precisely 99 metres long with par 3. The following hole in the first round has the longest hole with par 5 but lengths of 481 or more precisely 415 metres are in the second round. The central part of hippodrome is interesting, there are eight greens, four tees and three water hazards. There are putting green and driving range in front of the platforms. When you want to play you should remember that both sports are incompatible. You can do this or that but never both at the same time.
The design absolutely took advantage of all possibilities which the inner area of the racing premises offered and the other sports activity is easily available here for the G&RC Karlovy Vary members as well as for other visitors. Golf has the same roots as racing which has been developed from hunting on the British Isles.
