December 9th, Sunday – Angel Cabrera didn´t confirm status of leader and he didn´t win for the third time
Tournament 102nd Abierto Visa de la Republica was played in Argentina Buenos Aires GC.
Total of 154 golf players, almost from Argentina, entered on first teeing ground on this tournament. To two final rounds entered 68 players, they needed to play less than 147 strikes.
Tournament was quite difficult, because only two players manager to play under par in final rating.
Angel Cabrera, top star of this tournament and also favorite for title, played 76.
Finally Paraguay´s player Marco Ruiz rejoiced – he won with two strokes leading.

December 9th, Sunday – Merill Lunch Shootout 2007 won Austin and Calcavecchia
On Tiburrón GC in Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Florida Naples watchers had theirs back. Finish was dramatic.
On Saturday there were Woody Austin and Marc Calcavecchia waiting on the top positions. On Sunday fight Norman and Watson set right the score by two strikes that they had at the beginning of the last round, when they played birdie.
On the 18th hole Austin and Calcavecchia drained a 35-foot birdie putt.
That Norman and Watson didn´t manage to catch, so about a winner was decided.
Winners split 700.000 USD, and the last doublet got 130.000 USD.

In Australia Perth fought teams from Asia and International team.
In match of two players team , who has qualificated to team, won Asia team over the International team – 15/9.
Tournament was played in Match play about 960.000 USD, whereas this tournament has a short history, because ih has been played since 2005.
In 2005 there were Singapur teams and International team won 16/8, next year 2006 Asia team won 12,5/11,5.
Annika Sorentsam from Sweden was captain of International Team.

About a winner was decided first day, when Asian players won all six games.
Asian team finally won. It was built up from Korean players who successfully assert themselves on the most prestigious LPGA Tour.

December 9th, Sunday – Ernie Els didn ´t won in South African Leopard Creek Golf Club
Els decided Alfred Dunhill Championship in his detrimental on last hole.
Triple bogey on last hole meant for him second place and for English Johan Bickerton it was surprising victory.
Tournament took place in Leopard Creek GC in Mpumalanga and there were 156 players at the beginning.
The biggest star of tournament was native Ernie Els, who won in 1995, 1999 and 2006.
Exclusive course in Leopard Creek, near Malelane, situated in the suburbs of well-known Kruger National Park, has 72 par and length 6.631 m (7.249 yds). First nine holes have par 35 and second nine holes have par 37.
And one intrest at the end. Dutch player Joost Luiten (on 4th place) made the fur fly when he played Hole in one on three par hole No. 12 with length 176 m (192 yds.)

Only some players from other continents introduced themselves on the tournament.
South African Rory Sabbatini had been leading overwhelmingly till the end of 3rd round, but he faulted 74 strikes in the last round and this was for him to lost leading and place on winning position too. He is sharing 10th position finally.
On tournament, where the greater part of players from Australia and New Zealand met, only some “daredevils” went to fight with these more powerful players.
The best of them became American J.B. Holmes in total raking and Rory Sabbatini, both is sharing 10th position.

December 9th, Sunday – Larry and Josh Nelson won Del Webb Father Son Challenge
The tournament took place in Florida Champions Gate Golf Club at the turn of November and December.
It was playing two days on field of International course from Australian golf player Greg Norman.
In the end Larry and Josh Nelson enjoyed the winning this year, they won by 2 strikes in front of couple. For 61 years old Larry Nelson it is 2nd winning, first time he won with his second son Drew in 2004. Bonus 200.000 USD is the biggest amount, than Larry Nelson won on his 18th starts of PGA Tour in this year.
In couple Arnold „Arni“ Palmer and Sam Saunders it was not going about father and son, but about grandfather and grandson. They finished on great 6th position although.
And Fuzzy Zoeller did not play with son either, but with daughter Gretchen.

Merrill Lynch Shootout took place in Florida, where role of host took gain Greg „White Shark „ Norman.
Total of twelve doublet teams will fight in game on 54 holes about amount of 2.800.000 USD, from which will the winner has a quarter.
Tournament will be played for three days and every day there is different play on a programme. At the beginning alternate shot is proposed, the second round will be played as a best ball and scramble at the end.
Invitation from Greg Norman accepted among others Bubba Watson, Fred Couples, John Daly, Charles Howell III, Nick Price, Woody Austin and Mark Calcavecchia.
Host should have played with Steve Stricker, but he apologized for family reasons, so he finally played with Bubba Watson.
Spectators will see nowadays and recent champions starts with host Greg Norman. Other stars are Steve Elkington, Scott McCarron, Brad Faxon, Kenny Perry, Mark Calcavecchia, Jeff Sluman and Mark O’Meara.

Aberdeen (GolfCzech.cz) – Billion investment of American billionaire didn´t go through Aberdeen officers.
Luxury golf center, that should grow near Aberdeen (Scotland),didn´t get green from native officers. Donald Trumph expressed his surprise over their deciding, because according to words of Trumps spokesman is going on “great bulding-up”.
Controversial project (TrumpGolfScotland) was approved in advance, but then, after the tight voting in Aberdeen Infrastructure Committee was project withheld.

December 5th, Wednesday – RENAULT EPD Tour WINTER SERIES 2008
Renault EPD Tour will start for the first time already in winter months at the beginning of 2008.
There are three tournaments prepared in Turkey, included to Winter Series 2008.To each tournament can enter maximum of 90 professional players, who will fight not only over the money price but also over the points to the rating list.
First tournament is Siere Belek Classic, which will take place from 18tj to 23rd January. Total amount for prize money is 25.000 Euro.
Second tournament, Sueno Golf Classic, is in following week from 26th to 30th January and there is also 25.000 Euro in prize money.
The last stop in Turkey will be tournament Gloria Serenity Resort Classic from 1st to 6th February. Prize money for this tournament is 25.000 Euro.
Starting charge for one tournament is 350 Euro, for participation on all three tournaments Winter Series player will pay 900 Euro.

Siem Reap (Cambodia) (ČTK) – Legendary rock band Grateful Dead is said is responsible for victory of American golf player Bryan Saltus on tournament in Cambodia.
36-year-old native from California and fan of rock musicians from San Francisco, who visited 153 theirs concerts won for the first time on Asia tour in his life.
”I would like to give my victory to Grateful Dead, because their music inspirited me a lot.” said Saltus, who won the first Cambodian tournament by thee strikes leading.
American got bonus 47.550 USD for victory, but his first triumph will not be cheap for him. “I promised to my caddy, if I win I will buy her a motorcycle. Now I have to perform my promise.” said.
